Istas's Story;

A long, long time ago in the land where animals and nature got along, came a legend. The legend that was told for years to come, and will go on in history; Of a stallion whom became a role model, a savior and a king to many equines.
"I bet your wondering who this stallion is, aren't you? I wouldn't want to keep the suspense now would I? His name is Blitz, It means lightning."
Istas spoke to the youngsters, little colts and fillies all huddle around in a circle as the mare began the story.
"You see, Blitz was the colt of Warrior and Serena. He came out odd, for his coat was a black and white color."
A little colt interrupted Istas
"But Why was that odd, Miss Istas?"
Istas smirked at the little colt
"You see, Warrior was a black stallion and Serena was a White Mare. You'd expect maybe one of their colors, but He came out with both. Now let me go on"
Istas watched as the foals all glanced at her in confusion, but She told on.
"Warrior disappeared sadly before Blitz was ever born, and Serena had to raise her son on her own. He only knew her for a year, but Tragedy stuck one day when the two legged invaded their lands. Serena was taken away, and Blitz was left alone. When Blitz was finally 2 and a half years old, He set out for an adventure. It wasn't just any adventure, It was a quest to a new land and new place to start. Blitz never knew of dangers, you see. The stallion, well We'll call him a young one that is, ran into a pack of pumas one day. The meanest predators to the equines, besides a two-legged. The pack cornered him, and attacked like that. Blitz fought them off, but He ended up being wounded severly. His neck was given a deep claw wound, and he had a limp- A limp noticed easily, and he was weak. Scratches were aligned all along his pelt, and His color was no longer a black and white, it revealed marks of red blood and dirt. Blitz had to find a safe place, and even if it took days to weeks, He would find it."
The little colt interuppted again,
"Where did he go? Where? Where?"
and Istas just smiled at the colt
"Galloping Free, but you see That is what the Spirit's call this land, but It really is called Seneca Mountains. We don't refer to it as that, because the mountains cover the entire land, and we perfer to say Galloping free."
The colt's orbs became so big, as did the other fillies and colts as they soon realized the place where they live was home to the stallion.
"He lived here! He came here"
It just wasn't the colt this time, all the foals spoke out the same words, and Istas laughed. It was like a choir going off.
"Yes, He came here. You see Blitz found a queen quickly when He came into the lands and no second was wasted, He claimed the land as most of you know called Rainbow Valley"
Uh Oh, Another interruption, A little filly ran up to Istas and opened her big chocolate pools and spoke up.
Miss Istas, You guard that land don't you"
Istas nudged the filly softly and shook her crown, She didn't need to tell her anymore but Istas did guard that land.
"Now to go on with my story. Blitz's first queen was a mare whom he called Glory, but She wasn't loyal enough and disappeared one day. Thats when Lacie, is other mare stepped a queen beside him and Helped him rule the big land we call Rainbow Valley. Blitz had other mares along side him in the valley, One was Jetty and Later on, You'll see her imporantance. Blitz started off small, but his herd grew, His first foals were Whirlwind and Emblem, Whirlwind was Lacie's and Emblem's was Jetty's."

"To Tell you, Young ones, Blitz had a hard life. It was normal to have some problems, but His got so severe it drove him crazy. Sometimes, The stallion was seen standing over his land on the cliff, and below it was sharp rocks that would end life easily; He almost did that."
The foals all gasped and seemed to stepped back as Istas stepped closer to them; The part of the story was turning.
"Now, To really tell you all why Blitz became so known through other lands. You see Blitz had a mare whom was called Green Angel, and that was What she was; An Angel. Green had a heart like no other, and She was able to cure equines with herbs that She found. "
