Welcome to the Island...
Long ago, in a secret island, a land filled with equines, herds of the dark alliance lived. They were watched and ruled over by but one leader, the King. This king’s name was Leandro. The family of Leandro had ruled over this island for just about 100 years now. His pelt was darker than the moonless, midnight sky. He was an evil King, and did not allow either neutrals or lights into his terra. This King was sort of a dictator; he lived alone, and was a bachelor, for he did not believe that mares should be allowed to have power.
However, one day, a mare, dappled gray in color came to this island. Her calling was Adriana. She was a neutral, but didn’t let it show. She had been plotting this plan for a few years now. She went to Leandro and requested to become one of his herd. When he accepted her request, she became very close. They even bred a few times, but those foals were truly dark, and Adriana didn’t want anything to do with them. They were for Leandro, and they belonged to him.
One night, a night where the moon refused to show, Adriana made her move. She found this King and brought him out by the lake, and snuggled close with him for a while, then, she did the deed of which she had been planning for several years. She killed the King.
Adriana announced herself Queen of the island now. She changed the name, from Island Of Darks, to Island Of Horses. For now, equines of all alliances would be allowed on this island. She allowed mares to have leading positions as well.
Adriana then switched alliances to Light, and there found true love. His name was Summer Night. She bred with him once, and only once. They produced a little filly whom they dubbed, Faerie Fire. She would be Queen Of Lights one day.
Five years later, both Faerie Fire’s mother and father died suddenly in a freak accident. Faerie Fire was so upset, and it took her almost a year to recover, but she knew what she was to do. She knew she had to become Ruler over this island, and Queen Of Lights.
