A warm breeze tickled the backside of the sepia doe, also ruffling branches of weeping willows and pine trees. Needles drifted on the soft waves of the wind, twisting as they twirled through the air. Leaves fluttered as they fell off the limbs of trees, creating a blanket of lush green feathers over the ground. A pair of storks ruffled as they curled into a bed of grass, stalks poking at their feathers as they lie. Strands of emerald where intertwined within their feathers. Greens, whites, and browns huddled by a large tree trunk at the edge of the wood.
Hadia's muscles tensed, tendons and veins showing underneath her feathered coat. This time she had lead the way back to emerald acres, testing her memory while Requiem fallowed. She was, however, growing tired, and her pace was slowing down lazily as she stumbled over tree roots and rocks. A grunt escaped through her kissers, though it was barely audible due to her constant breathing, growing louder the longer they traveled. Her haunches where also growing sore, black and blue bruises covering her hind, hiding small slits and cuts that had occurred during breeding. Small droplets of blood was dried onto her coat, though it was barely visible because of the brown-red color of her fur.
She poked at Requiems side, her shoulder aligned with his as they prodded through the wood. Strands of hair fell from her petite figure, landing atop the soft ground before the pair strode over it. Summer had arrived, and her coat was just finishing shedding, though she knew soon enough her winter coat would be growing back to keep her warm. Small breaths of air kissed at Hadia's face, brushing aside her thick forelock to reveal two deep brown eyes, they looked toward a small hole in the canopy of trees, spotting the large area they called home. Strands from Hadia's mane interwove with those of requiems, a perfect mixture of red hairs, combined with a faded white.
A sigh convinced its way out of her mouth, relieved that they had finally made it home. Her heart felt lighter, as though just the thought of home gave them safety. Hadia pushed through large green ferns, their leaves tickling her side as she entered the emerald acres. Since they had left, the Terra had grown. The trees and grass molted into lush, deep green colors. The grass had grown, sweeping up to tickle a berly visible bump that was forming on Hadia's stomach. Bright yellow dandelions were scattered in between the herbage, mixed with other yellow and pink flowers. The tree's where full with leaves, and the bushes where covered with ruby looking berries.
Hadia's whipcord slapped against her side, several bugs flying away hurriedly from the whip. REQUIEM! Came a high pitch coo, glee intertwined with her lyrics. Oh Requiem! We're home! Her whiskered mug pressed to his cheek, leaving foamy slobber over his face. Hadia did a very bad job of hiding her amusement, his face now looking like it had grown a mustache. Once again, her kissers whuffled over his features, wiping off the bubbly spit from his face. The doe trotted toward a large oak, it's shadows shading her from the hot sun. Her crown tossed elegantly, long threads of hair knocking from one side of her face to the next. Many times, her thick forelock covered her eyes, and she had to tip her dome to peak out of one eye. She watched the white steed, Requiem, crooning to draw him nearer.
